Kuwaitis have chosen Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University
On May, 25th, 2009 on Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University square the festive meeting of students delegation who arrived for training from Kuwait took place. For the first time at our university so representative group (50 persons) of this friendly country will be trained. A special feature of these students is the high social status which they have in their motherland: they are managers of leading firms, heads of major enterprises and organisations. The majority of them will receive in Belgorod the second higher education in addition to their first higher education. Chosen specialities by Kuwait representatives are connected with economy, building engineering, electric power industry, mechanical equipment and ecology.
It is known that in Kuwait economy, building engineering, industry develop very intensively. Education in Russia, received by Kuwait citizens willhelp to realisation of great state ideas and plans. Today, Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University - the only Russian higher educational institution which was accredited in Kuwait.
In the first day of Kuwait students` staying in our university they met with the rector of Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University , a doctor of technical science, professor A.M.Grydchin. Our university was chosen by Kuwait students, because during last years it takes the first place on a rating among Russian technical higher educational institutions. Now there is a preconcert with Oman, the negotiations with the United Arab Emirates have begun, and in the prospect we are ready to accept students from the countries listed above.
At the meeting there were the heads of educational departments of Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University. The first vice-rector on scientific and innovative activity, doctor of technical science., professor V.S.Lesovik in his reference to foreign students underlined: “Thanks to your visit we will have a new stage in educational field , the exit to the international educational space will give us the opportunity to increase the number of students, post-graduate students, bachelors. It will help to attract cash flows to the university budget”.
During students training, the active use of information-communicative technologies (Internet, multimedia means, electronic textbooks) is planned.
An executive director of Kuwaiti educational company "GLT" ,doctor Jaser Allaham said that the large-scale social-cultural program was prepared for them, for example: friendship and musical culture parties, sports competitions, excursions to historical places.
The director of company "GLT" in Oman and United Arab Emirates Murad Ahmed said some words from the student's delegation. He expressed his gratitude to Belgoroders for warm and heartful meeting. He told that they had such experts in their country who had got education in Russia. Russian friends always support the citizens of Kuwait in their wish to study. “This project creates the bridge of friendly cooperation between your university and our country”, - he said.
After official part of meeting both parties exchanged memorable souvenirs and symbolical gifts.
