Foreign students participated in the contest
On November 15 author's song contest "Accord" took place in the students Art Centre. For the first time the event was attended by foreign citizens studying in the Preparatory Faculty for foreign students.
The competition was held in three categories: performance skills, ensemble, art song. Foreign students have participated in two categories. They competed with Russian students, who have extensive experience of performing in this creative area.
Foreign students who participated in the contest, have been learning the Russian language for just a month. And so, they were successful in singing songs in their native languages. Karaca Kunter Gyurel, Denise Belgo (Turkey) participated in the category "ensemble". They performed the song "Smoke." The participants supported the children, clapping to the beat of the chorus.
Zakariash Kalembe from Angola made a song in Portuguese. This student not only performs a touching song, briliantly playing the guitar at the same time, but he is also a songwriter, for now he writes them in his native language. But he was very interested in Russian art song. After learning the Russian language, he will take part in the following competition, singing his own songs in Russian. In the meantime, the competent jury marked his performance and awarded the boy with the 2nd place in "performing art". This is a significant success of the beginning artist. The faculty staff of the Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens congratulated the foreign students and wished them further success.
