Conference opening
International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific research, nano-and resource-saving technologies in building material industry» (XIX scientific readings), the International Scientific Conference "Interstroymeh-2010" and the third International Congress of Cement producers got together numerous visitors, including, representatives of Former Soviet Union States and different countries. Traditionally, the participants of the forum laid flowers in commemoration of V.G. Shukhov, whose name was given to our university, to his monument.
The ceremony was followed by the plenary meeting, which was opened by BSTU Chancellor, Doctor of economics , Professor Sergei Nikolaevich Glagolev. Sergey Nikolaevich expressed confidence that the event will contribute to further development of the construction industry in Russia, sharing experience and information among scientists, giving them an opportunity to discuss their scientific developments and inventions with the representatives of production industry.
Director of the Department for Cooperation with federal and regional authorities of “Rosnanotech”, Dr. D.V Krinitsky, Dr. Mansoura Adnan, Deputy Director General for Technical Affairsat the Public Establishment for Road Communications in Syria, M.E. Shmatov, director of the European Technology Institute, addressed the audience with their greeting. The speakers stated the high level of scientific research in the field of construction materials carried out by BSTU scientists.

DV Krinitsky, representing “Rosnanotech” spoke on the opportunities and challenges in implementing innovative projects in nanotechnology industry. According to Dmitry Vladimirovich the corporation allocates funds for "the completed projects. "We do not invest into ideas, we invest into projects", - he said, addressing the youth and encouraged them to be actively engaged not only in research, but also the projects preparation for implementation.
The audience gave much attention to the report on the "Prospects of concrete study development in the XXI Century" delivered by Prof. Y.M Bazhenov, President of non-Profit Partnership "Interregional association of scientists and experts in the field of building materials science, academician of RABSN, head of the department of technology of binders and concretes at Moscow State Construction University. Over the years Yuri Mikhailovich has been closely linked with our university by fruitful scientific activity.
AV Shuleshko, the first deputy head of the Department of economic development at Belgorod local government office spoke on the mechanism of realization of the federal law on energy saving and interaction with the public institutions for the development.
