Find out More about a Roller Press Unit
In the course of the above a two-days workshop at BSTU, the participants regarded the issues of maintenance and putting into operation of “Roller-press” a new grinding unit.
The workshop took place at the department of cement and composite materials technology with the participation of the delegation representing KHD Humboldt Wedag, a German company. Among the participants of the workshop were representatives of 12 major enterprises working in cement and mining industry from Belgorod oblast, Sybirea and Moscow oblast.
Let us remind that KHD company is one of the world leaders in developing and supplying technologies and equipment for cement production. Our university started the cooperation with this company in 2008, when the parties concluded an agreement on specialists training and retraining on the basis of department of cement and composite materials technology. Moreover KHD representatives gave the department a simulator training unit «Simulex», imitating a production process when operating technological equipment. The unit creates a realistic model of the behaviour of a processing line and ensures speeding up the training process for students and industrial engineers.
The workshop included discussion of the issues, involving maintenance of this type of grinding units, relating to the advantages of grinding systems based on roller press use. Currently "Roller-press" grinder is in operation in a cement factory in Orenburg oblast.
