Russian national beach handball team brought bronze from the European Championship

The Russian men's national team included two players from the Tekhnolog-Spartak team (Belgorod): international master of sports Igor Neklyudov and master of sports Konstantin Vinokur. “For the European Championship, the club coaches were preparing the necessary connections between the players in the game. The coaching staff of the team of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov did an excellent job on the combination: joker - Neklyudov - linear Vinokur, ”notes the honored trainer of Russia, head of the department of physical education and sports at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhova Sergey Kramskoy. Last year, the Russian national team stopped one step away from the coveted bronze.

This year, Russian players went through a difficult and thorny path to the semifinals and met with the strongest team of Euro-2017 - the Spanish national team. The game with the Spaniards turned out to be tense: with a score of 1: 1, the players started a shootout. The last shot in the shootout was made by Igor Neklyudov, who outweighed the scales in favor of the Russian national team. This is how our team won the bronze medal of the European Beach Handball Championship. Igor Neklyudov and Konstantin Vinokur train and play in the Tekhnolog-Spartak national team. Upon returning home, the players will have a long-awaited rest, and then one of the decisive rounds of the Russian Beach Handball Championship in the Krasnodar Territory.

The coaches and the Tekhnolog-Spartak team express their gratitude to the university administration and personally to the rector Sergei Glagolev for the active support and development of sports at the university and handball, in particular. Reference: the Russian national team during a difficult handball marathon met with the national teams of Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany (subgroup); Sweden, Poland, Croatia (second round); France (¼ final) and Denmark (semi-final).

Now honored coaches of Russia Sergey Kramskoy and Sergey Yarkovoy are preparing a worthy replacement for the eminent champions of the Tekhnolog-Spartak national team. Young athletes have already been able to declare themselves at the international level: the youth team took the honorable 6th place at the European Championship. The youth team includes three students of the College of High Technologies at the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov: Kirill Chernysh, Andrey Teslenko and Kirill Godunov. Congratulations to all the players and wish you even more victories in competitions of various levels!
