Creation of a network university - at a meeting of rectors
Today the rector of BSTU named after VG Shukhov Sergei Glagolev takes part in the meeting of university rectors of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. The topic of the meeting is the creation of the Eurasian Network University (ESU). The founders of the ESU will be the leading universities of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Lomonosov Moscow State University will act as the coordinator. As a result of the meeting of rectors, it is planned to sign a memorandum on the establishment of a network university by the founding universities.
“In 2021, our university signed a cooperation agreement with the Kyrgyz Economic University named after M. Ryskulbekov represented by the rector Almaz Toktobekovich Kadyraliev, and the forthcoming International Forum in Bishkek on June 23-24, 2022 on the interaction of international education systems and business became the result of active mutual work as the main paradigm of diplomatic relations between the states of Eurasia. Together with representatives of the government of Kyrgyzstan, Russia, business structures and universities of Eurasia, we are preparing serious measures to strengthen interuniversity cooperation. The emergence of the Eurasian Network University will be another milestone on the path to strengthening cooperation between the EAEU countries, a tool for increasing mutual understanding between Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia,” Sergey Glagolev stressed. We add that on May 26, the Eurasian Economic Forum “Eurasian Economic Integration in the Era of Global Changes. New Opportunities for Investment Activity”, where the results of the meeting of rectors will be announced.
