Lecture by the minister
September - the beginning of a new academic year, the usual series of lectures, seminars, workshops. But this September, the students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov will be remembered especially. Because especially for them, within the framework of the educational marathon of the Russian society "Knowledge", the highest guests came to the university to conduct their classes for them. On September 8, one of these honorary lecturers was a graduate of the Technologist, First Deputy Governor of the Belgorod Region - Minister of Digital Development of the Region Evgeny Miroshnikov. From the very beginning, Evgeny Vladimirovich suggested that the students of the Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and Control Systems, as well as the College of High Technologies, move from a monologue to a dialogue. And the conversation turned out to be so intense, as if the minister gave several lectures at once - so many important topics were touched upon during the meeting with the Shukhovites. One of the most important topics for dialogue was the transport sector, because here every person living in the 31st region is its consumer - whether he moves with his car, on official or public transport, or acts as a pedestrian. E.V. Miroshnikov emphasized that the main task of digital transformation in the transport sector is to competently manage traffic flows. At the moment, several IT projects in this area have been launched in Belgorod and the region at once. For example, an electronic cashless payment system in public transport. Moreover, the developers do not stop there, but try to take into account the fact that preferential categories of citizens use the passage, and the fact that transport services can be inter-municipal, when a person from the suburbs needs to make a transplant. The most pressing issue in the regional center is the increase in throughput. Above this, the Minister of Digital Development of the region explained, his Department is constantly working.
And there are already concrete successes, which, at first glance, are not noticeable to the layman. So, it was possible to increase the capacity in the area of Budyonny Street by 6 times. And this is far from the only example of the competent use of the existing information array.
Evgeny Miroshnikov also shared the fact that soon the entire Belgorod region will be able to use the service, which will be used to see all the movements of transport - where this or that bus is now, when it arrives at the point the passenger needs. Evgeny Vladimirovich told the future IT specialists about other large-scale projects of the department in the field of education, medicine, transport, information infrastructure, explained what difficulties might be associated with solving this or that urgent task, and also shared the prospects that IT specialists see in the application their technologies in the very near future. The First Deputy Governor of the Belgorod Region - Minister of Digital Development of the Region Evgeny Miroshnikov is sure that taking care of improving the standard of living in the region with the help of modern information technologies is the primary task of the state in general and the Department of Digital Development of the Belgorod Region, in particular.
