Visit of the Delegation form Syria
On June 15, 2010 the Dr.Eng.Youssef Hammood, General Manager of Public Establishment for Road Communications, deputy minister of transport of Syrian Arab Republic and Eng. Hassan Ezeddin Abu Khreish, Нead of Office Director General at Public Establishment for Road Communications of Syrian Arab Republic arrived on a visit to Belgorod State Shukhov Technological University.
The high representatives came to our city on a business visit, which includes familiarization with the achievements, material base, technical facilities and accommodation conditions of international students of BSTU. In addition, the visitors are planning to have a meeting with the local government officials, visiting the road construction establishment and inspecting the highways. The delegation is going to visit local places of interest.
According to the plan the visit will result in singing of Cooperation Agreement in education and research fields.
On the first day of the visit the members of the foreign delegation met S.N. Glagolev, BSTU Chancellor, doctor of science (economics), professor. During the meeting they discussed the cooperation options in training specialists for road industry for Syrian Arab Republic.
Particularly, addressing the administration of the university, Dr. Eng. Youssef Hammood said: «I am very pleased to meet you. We love and respect Russia. It is the homeland for us. Many of us used to study here and we will never forget these wonderful people».
