On November 21, 2011, the kindergarten № 5 hosted a holiday devoted to the International Student's Day and World Children's Day. The students of the preparatory faculty for foreign students of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov were invited to the event. The faculty is doing a great job to develop tolerance among young people. With this purpose, international students participate in sports, cultural and social events, during which they discover for themselves a lot about the country where they will live and learn.

International Students Day celebrated on November 17, has already become a traditional celebration with an annual contest "Student of the Year", held at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov.

On November 15 author's song contest "Accord" took place in the students Art Centre. For the first time the event was attended by foreign citizens studying in the Preparatory Faculty for foreign students.

On November 11, the ground floor of the main building BSTU named V.G. Shukhov was crowded and lively because of the exhibition devoted to the Independence Day of Angola. Currently more than 50 representatives from the African country are taking their courses at BSTU.

On November 10 an international football team from Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov played a football match with foreign students at Belgorod State Agricultural Academy. As a result of the exciting struggle, the game ended in draw - 6:6

During the academic year the Preparatory Faculty for foreign students of our university arranges theme nights to familiarize the students with the Russian folk culture as a part of the cultural adaptation program. Meeting with Russian folk music became a bright event in the lives of the preparatory students at a concert given by the orchestra of folk instruments "Velez". The event took place on November 9.

During the visit, the delegation of the Embassy of Iraq in the Russian Federation met the academic staff of the University. The Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Hussain Tuayma Muttair spoke about the prospects of developing relations between the two countries in the near future. This year, one hundred representatives of Iraq will be the students at BSTU. 40 members of academic staff will be sent on professional improvement courses at our university.

On November 11 the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, consisting of the Cultural Attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Hussain Tuayma Muttair and deputy cultural attache Abdeldzhalil Yasin. During the meeting they discussed the main directions of cooperation in science, education and culture.

From October 19 - 23 2011 an Annual International Exhibition took place at La Rural Exhibition Centre under a complete support of the Ministry of Education of Argentina, as well as Educational Department in Buenos –Aires. Universities, professional schools and other educational institutions took part in «ExpoUniversidad 2011».

BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov held a press conference in with the representatives of the Delegation of the University of Pristina (Serbia). The Serbian delegation represented by the University Rector Prof. Dr. Zdravko Vitoshevich, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor, Professor Srecko Milachech, Dean of the Faculty of Education Professor, Dr. Radivoje Kulich, general secretary of the association of graduates of Russian and Soviet universities of Serbia and Montenegro Petar Paykovich, professor of the Faculty of Education, Master of Science Raisa Tsvetkovich. On behalf of BSTU the press conference was attended by the First Vice-Chancellor, Professor N.A. Shapovalov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor R.V. Lesovik, director of the Center for International Education and Cooperation, Ph.D. E.V. Kapustin.
